A climbing plant can radically change the look and feel of an outdoor space. These gorgeous little clingers and climbers come with a whole range of features too. Some of these are famously knows as deciduous, evergreen, ornamental, fruiting and scented flowers.
People could also opt for a green cover that includes some medicinal plants. An adjacent wall may be covered by bamboo to create a contrast. With green everywhere, the walls will also help keep the room temperature under control. Some of the more known creepers are:
Bougainvillea: Big, bold, bright and beautiful! The color these amazing climbers bring to summer is amazing. They are also extremely tough too. Just be careful to avoid hard pruning as this can hurt more than you could imagine. Stick to regular tip pruning. You could also consider Bougainvillea for pots (30cm dia).
Morning Glory (Botanical Name: Ipomoea indica; Ipomoea tricolor): Simply celestial, this vigorously growing perennial climber has heart-shaped or trilobed leaves and purple to blue funnel shaped flowers make it a gratifying addition to the outdoors. The climber prefers full sun for abundant flowering but can tolerate partial shade as well.
Star Jasmine (Botanical Name: Jasminum multiflorum): If you are a tad uncertain about your gardening skills, this is the climber for you! It survives in the bright sun, part shade, and water restrictions-you name it. It has a beautiful smell and is green and leafy all year round. Just the perfect solution for outside of windows to green up fences, and for its scent to waft inside.
Climbers: Making a style statement for the wall, climbers are also advised by architects, especially in contemporary times. According to them, choosing a host of good flowering climbers for a sunny entrance is important as it not only adds prettiness to the house but also enhances the garden in front of the building.
